Corporate Value Management, Inc. (CVM), and Caliber Advisors, Inc. (Caliber), two pre-eminent valuation and economic consulting firms have combined operations effective May 31, 2015. The newly combined firm operates under the Caliber Advisors name.

The combination of two full-service valuation and economic consulting firms; CVM – based in Chicago — and Caliber – based in San Diego – forms a nationwide practice with strong technical skills and industry expertise. Caliber’s expanded geographical footprint broadens the availability of resources for both firms’ clients with offices in Chicago, San Diego, and Washington D.C. The combined firm will continue to deliver Fair Value, Tax Planning & Compliance, Transaction Advisory, Litigation Support, Portfolio Valuation, and Value Enhancement Services to U.S. and International clients across numerous industries.

CVM and Caliber share high standards for client service while seeking to create rewarding career opportunities for their employees. This similarity in culture was a large part of the two firms’ decision to combine their operations.

“We see one of the major factors of a successful partnership as forming a shared culture,” said Heather Grove and Joe Ruble, Managing Directors of CVM.  “We have so many key qualities in common, and are excited to be able to offer additional services to our clients. Having known the team at Caliber for so long – over 15 years now – we know our clients will be pleased with the new depth we have created. The Caliber team also brings a very unique skill set in portfolio valuation, a rapidly growing area with the increase of private investment and SEC oversight of funds.”

“I believe this combination provides us with an extraordinary opportunity to better serve the expanding needs of our clients,” said Ken Nunes, Managing Director of Caliber. “Our firm has a number of east coast clients and this combination helps us serve them even better. Furthermore, our Transaction Advisory Services practice is growing rapidly and the CVM team has years of experience in providing these services. Skilled transaction advisors are very hard to find and we feel very fortunate to be able to join forces with CVM in this exciting market.”
