Caliber is proud to be a platinum level sponsor of the Chicago Council of the American Writers Museum’s Next Chapter: The Vampire’s Ball which will be held on Saturday, October 19.  Proceeds from the event will support the AWM’s youth education program, Write In, which primarily serves low-income middle and high school students from the Chicagoland area. Funds are being raised to subsidize their museum admission and bus rental, to eliminate the financial barrier for schools and families, as well as operating support for the program.

Write In combines the unique experience of a museum visit with curriculum that aligns with Common Core standards and encourages creative writing . The AWM staff conducts extensive outreach to schools throughout Chicagoland to recruit groups to participate, with a focus on schools in low-income neighborhoods. The AWM also recruits students to participate through other organizations including After School Matters, Community Arts Partnership in Education, and Urban Gateways.
