Caliber is pleased to announce that Trevor McClain-Duer has joined the firm as a Director in the Chicago office. Trevor is a veteran financial and accounting expert with over 10 years of experience in business valuation, private equity, venture capital, real estate, investment management, and financial and dispute advisory services.

His valuation and economic damage expertise has been called upon for a variety of reasons, including shareholder buy-outs, fair value analysis, pre- and post-closing due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, corporate divestitures, estate & gift tax purposes, 409A purposes, intellectual property, shareholder and contract disputes and other litigation related matters. He has also developed and implemented valuation policies and procedures for private equity, venture capital and real estate funds. He is experienced across a wide range of industry sectors, most notably professional service firms, manufacturing, waste management, logistics, hospitality, healthcare, construction, investment partnerships, real estate, biotech, and technology.

For the last two years Trevor was a leader in the valuation and dispute advisory practices at a Midwest-based financial consulting firm. Prior to this, Trevor provided investment management, valuation and due diligence services while at a family wealth management office with over $1B in assets under management. Additional experience includes auditing private equity and venture capital firms while providing financial advisory services for a Big 4 accounting firm.

Trevor is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago, the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), and the University of Notre Dame Monogram Club.

Trevor graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. in Accounting and earned a Master of Accounting from the Ohio State University.
