On June 13, 2019, Trevor McClain-Duer presented a continuing legal education (CLE) program which included discussions on business valuation for estate & gift planning and compliance and transaction advisory purposes and calculations of economic damages in a litigation support context. The event was hosted by Amata Law Offices in partnership with the Notre Dame Club of Chicago. Trevor’s insights on valuation theory and methodology and its application in real world scenarios were appreciated by those in attendance.

Trevor is a Director with more than 10 years of experience in business valuation, private equity, venture capital, real estate, investment management, and financial and dispute advisory services. His valuation and economic damage expertise is often required for shareholder buy-outs, fair value analysis, pre- and post-closing due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, corporate divestitures, purchase price allocations (PPAs), 409A purposes, Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), SBA loans, intellectual property, shareholder and contract disputes, and other litigation related matters. He has also developed and implemented valuation policies and procedures for private equity, venture capital and real estate funds. His valuations cover many industries, including but not limited to professional service firms, manufacturing, waste management, logistics, hospitality, healthcare, construction, investment partnerships, real estate, biotech, and technology.

Trevor is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago, the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), and the University of Notre Dame Monogram Club.

Trevor graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. in Accounting and was an All-American in Track & Field. He also earned a Master of Accounting from the Ohio State University.
