Tim Hufler Tim Hufler (Vice President) has 14 years of financial advisory and valuation services to publicly traded and privately held companies, as well as portfolio companies and private equity firms. An expert in economic analysis, financial advisory and business valuation services, Tim joined Caliber Advisors, Inc. as Vice President in 2009. For 14 years, businesses of all kinds--publicly traded, privately held, portfolio companies and private equity firms - have looked to him for guidance. Tim's successful management of large-scale, complex valuation engagements comprising financial reporting, tax planning, fresh start accounting and tax reorganizations has earned him the respect of many businesses. Requiring coordination of business valuators, fixed asset and real property appraisers, these projects demonstrated Tim's ability as a talented, smart leader. Tim frequently directs and performs appraisals of equity securities, business enterprises, intellectual property, in-process research and development, as well as other intangible assets. Key services areas are option valuations for IRC 409a and SFAS 123R compliance, valuation of debt and equity instruments for investment purposes, asset and liability valuations for purchase price allocations under SFAS 141, and goodwill impairment tests under SFAS 142. Tim's specific industry experience includes valuation engagements for those engaged in computer hardware and software, computer networking, agriculture and food processing, consumer products, retail operations, gaming and casinos, and manufacturing. Prior to joining Caliber Advisors, Inc., Tim was a Director in the Valuation Services Group at Grant Thornton, where he managed the valuation services line for the Irvine and San Diego offices. Tim received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Southern California. |
