Fred brings 30 years of executive-level strategic planning and global business management experience with Fortune 500 companies.


As president and COO of Caliber Advisors, Fred personifies the experienced yet approachable demeanor of the firm. His 30 years of proven success in defining and meeting financial and operational targets gives him the real-world experience necessary to understand client challenges and opportunities.


Fred leverages his international background and proven business acumen to turn companies around. As a CEO-level general manager at one of HP's global consumer electronics divisions, he reversed an operating loss and drove its turnaround (50 point uptick) delivering profitable growth for 24 quarters. He restructured the division's business by developing and successfully executing a new outsourcing model. Called the Strategic-Touch Model (white paper published and featured in a Harvard Business Review article), the model continues to be used throughout HP due to its streamlined cost-effective structure and impressive margins and profitability. Fred's direct efforts generated hundreds of millions of dollars for HP's bottom-line.


Based on personal experience, Fred understands each piece of the business puzzle as well as the unified whole. From sales and marketing, he transitioned to global operations and general management roles. He was directly accountable for P&L performance, and for all core executive leadership and operating functions, including strategic planning, global operations, manufacturing/outsourcing, direct/multi-channel sales, strategic alliance development, product development and client experience.


Most significantly, Fred achieved impressive results by delivering profitable growth, operational excellence and record sales. For each and every Caliber client, Fred translates his wealth of experience into understandable, actionable direction and guidance.


Fred received a B.S. in business management with a concentration in marketing, from San Jose State University. He also earned an M.B.A. in international business from the University of San Diego. In addition, he earned a Certificate in International and Comparative Law from La Sorbonne in Paris, France.
